My choices for the cast would go something like this:

Cyclops: Kyle McLaughlin (From TV's Twin Peaks)

Marvel Girl: Julia Roberts (Has both the beauty, intelligence, and
attitude)

Prof. X: Patrick Stewart (Anyone have any doubts on this one?)

Gambit: Pierce Bronsan (The more I think about it, the more it seems
plausible)

Wolverine: Bruce Willis (Please don't flame too hard ; seems like a
logical choice to me. Has both the stature and
attitude ; would also resemble Wolvie w/long
sideburns)

Storm: Haven't a clue.....

Colossus: Arnold all the way! (Seems obvious to me)

Nightcrawler: Jean Claude VanDamme (Athletic appearance)

Havok: Christian Slater

Kitty Pride: Jami Gertz

Valerie Cooper: Kim Basinger

Just a few suggestions.....
I feel relieved.

Yep.

It depends on what era-Prof X they're gonna play, but Stewart does
well with characters with a prickly, somewhat arrogant exterior, masking
warmth and compassion inside. I see Prof. X nowadays as a father figure
letting loose the apron strings; certainly, circa Claremont, we've seen
Xavier as much more human, and warmer than in the earlier days. The aloofness
that he may show is much more a function of practicality for the world's
strongest telepath.

Stewart would be more effective as Magneto, where he can strut and
preen in his arrogance, yet still manifest the (perhaps misplaced) compassion
for mutantkind that the character is supposedly operating on nowadays.

Cyclops: Kyle McLaughlin (From TV's Twin Peaks)

not a bad idea

Marvel Girl: Julia Roberts (Has both the beauty, intelligence, and

no comment

Prof. X: Patrick Stewart (Anyone have any doubts on this one?)

I agree that Yul Brynner would make a better Prof. X, but he's dead.

Gambit: Pierce Bronsan (The more I think about it, the more it seems
plausible)

Heh.

Havok: Christian Slater

I can't see this. I just can't imagine him and Kyle being brothers.

Kitty Pride: Jami Gertz

Not a bad choice. Alternatively, either Winona Ryder or Ari Meyer could
pull it off.

Wolvie's at most 5'4", how high is Bruce Willis? I mean there must
be some good short actor out there.

I agree with these too implicitedly.

"Has *both* the beauty, intelligence, and attitude"?...hopefully, you could get
all three, but in this case, maybe not the inelligence part...:)

I'm not sure if this one was mentioned before, but how about:

Dazzler: Madonna (She can sing, they are drawn with similar builds,
and Madonna _can_ act, at least when she puts her mind
to it.)

Don't think so. 'Though I think Madonna would be better as the
street-tough Dazzler originally conceived rather than the airhead we've all
known and loathed.

Hmph. Kathleen Turner could take Ms. Cicconne, chew her up and spit
her out for an appetizer and not work up a sweat.

NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT!!!!!!

True, I pulled a real boner with Telly Savalas as Prof X, but even *I* can tell
Madonna just doesn't fit Dazzler (except perhaps the Malice-posessed or
Inferno-version). At least Telly could *possibly* do the Prof if he really

worked at it. Instead Let Madonna take Emma Frost. *That* is a perfect match.

Well, boys n girls, now that it seems the end is nigh, any conjecture as to
how Gaiman's gonna wrap it all up?

My personal opinion about the final issue number is #44. Deeply Symbolic.

Now onto today's revelation. In the middle of class today, I mused on
the PJF Gaiman tags onto his name. Pre-Joycian Fellowship, hmmm...?
Well, I recalled that Morpheus has played a major role in the inspiration
of certain key literary figures, Shakespeare and Twain (ostensibly) to name
a few. So, I asks meself, what is it about our boy that makes him so
special? Further, during his imprisonment, other than the sleeping
sicknesses which plagued the world, and the release of the Corinthian,
did the world suffer for his loss?
And then it hit me...like a ton of rotting potatoes. JOYCE was
being published at that time! Ah, Mr. Gaiman, I salute you for landing
a subtle blow on your oppoonent that has done him in for sure. Bravo!

Unfortunately for your hypothesis, Joyce was also publishing before
Sandman's imprisonment.

Anyone who thinks that Joyce was out of touch with "the dreaming" has
obviously never read *Ulysses* or *Finnegans Wake*. (Although, perhaps
*FW* can be seen as a desperate attempt on Joyce's part to reconnect...)
