I have to apologize Thomas...I pointed out to you before that you spelled
Phoenix incorrectly, for which you explained. Now you're going after my
own heart, sweetie darling...AbFab, babe!

Unfortunately, it's rather hard to cast X-Men into the roles of Patsy or
Edina because there are no X-Men wacky enough to be those two.

Jennifer...off to get some Stoli and nibbly things...kiss kiss!

wacky?

Wacky????

WACKY????????

They are not *wacky*.
Words like 'wacky' and 'zany' can only be used
to describe silly red heads who appear in sixties sitcom reruns.

If this is allowed to continue, next I'll be reading
how Monty Python were 'Zany' and 'Goofy'.

I must stop it heere and now, for the good of all.

Sean - Who never knew he had a rant-mode in him.

Wacky? No, no, no. They Might Be Giants are wacky. David Letterman
is wacky. Absolutely Fabulous is ironic.

wackiness." - Neil Davidson.

Letterman *used* to be ironic. *sigh*

And worship people who can be ironic, which rather defeats the point.

-kate, who can't respond to people's
email because she can't read hers.

hurm...did that make sense? kate said the second part, part the first.
OK? OK.

Yes, Letterman used to be ironic. And I don't quite know if They
are ironic (I tend to think they are) but they're usually pretty far from
wacky. Wacky is Weird Al Yankovic. They are..um...not wacky.

um...I don't know. I think Spider stemmed off of a bar bet or something.

and if you try really really hard, I bet there's a deep inner
meaning for all the songs. Then again you can find deep inner meaning in
Youngblood Strikefile if you are in the right mindset (or wrong).

just knee jerkingly jumping to the defense of one of my favorite
musical groups, sorry paul.

Hey, I like They Might Be Giants. They're ironic in part, to be sure.

But "Spider"? "I Palindrome I"?

If there is a God, why does he allow Dale Winton to happen?

For TMBG, I'd say there's a deep inner meaning for around half
the songs, and the other half are just gratuitous surrealism.
I'm open to persuasion, though.

Thank the stars! They're rerunning USTV!
