On TV: Live from Lincoln Center with Luciano Pavarotti, on Channel 48! CBS launched the Pat Sajak Show, but Channel 9-which aired Wheel of Fortune at the time-didn't carry it. In the Post comics, Calvin was a C-bomb. "The world gasps in horror as he steraks towad his target!", he announced. The last panel had Calvin's mother restraining him. The January 9-14, 1989 week was also the first week of the 1989-1993 revival Pogo comic strip. For Cincinatti newspapers, I guess the Cincinnatti E and not the Cincinnatti Post carried the 1989-1993 Pogo revival strip for at least a year or two.
