On the one hand, I'm kind of surprised by the suggestion of a
thing happening in _Gasoline Alley_, particularly if it does free up
Gertie for interesting things like finding out if she wants to have a
third date with Earl Lee Bird. On the other, it's not quite her fault
she got separated from Walt when they were kicked out of the theater,
though I agree she did weirdly forget about him as they were being
expelled. And on another, she left that guy and his cat in the open
grave they were digging after nightfall for some reason and I'm not all
that sure they're going to resolve that.
