Hilarious interpretation, however.

The sunshade deployment was completed several days ago. As were the
secondary mirror and radiator deployments. Still to come is the primary mirror unfolding.

There will be several months of calibration and checkout before

Near the L2 point one could hardly achieve the first without also
achieving the second.

Well, in this one case, your sarcasm was (atypically, I must add) a
little on the bald and unconvincing side.

Well, yeah, but being in the Earth’s shadow is why the camera needs a
flashgun in the first place, innit?

Sorry, software engineer who actually has an engineering degree and a
professional Engineers license from The Great State Of Texas. We
engineers tend to be nerds and borderline autistic.

Senior System Programmer / Semipro opera singer / Textual editor (not as
in vi or emacs, but as in Tolkien and Gordon preparing their edition of
“Syr Gawayn and the Grene Knyȝt”). No degree, though, in any of them;
Comp. Sci., back in those days, was a couple of courses in the Appl.
Math department. Anyway, yeah, I’m a borderline autistic nerd, myself.

Sarcasm consisting of grinding your heel in the original joke is likely
to be confused with missing the joke. As it was in this case.
