Too bad the Toledo Blade hasn't even picked up a new strip since the Dogs of C Kennel introduction circa 2010, not even recent year comic strip newcomers like Take It From The Tinkersons, Intellegent Life, Carpe Diem, WuMo, and Phoebe and Her Unicorn!

And did the Toledo Blade stop carrying Hagar the Horrible?

The Blade still carries Hagar.

OOPS, sorry I misread.

But I notice the Toledo Blade still carries Herman reruns even after the death of Herman creator Jim Unger.

The Tampa Tribune still carries Herman as well. Not as bad as the Daily "Get Fuzzy" strips but still...

I will say this for the Tribune. At least they brought back Herman when it returned (albeit around December 1997 after it made its' return a few months earlier). The Tampa Bay Times never bothered to resurrect "Herman".

I looked at the Toledo Blade listings from 12/31/2007 (via Google News Archive). The only change among the Daily strips was the aforementioned "Dogs of C-Kennel" and that was likely after "Cathy" retired.
