Between Maria, Gregor and this kid, I figure they've got two more
slots to fill before they can roll out their own X-Men.

Maybe Rupert and Rosalind can fill in, in the meantime.


On a side note: "That kid's genetics would give a biologist a
stroke."

That was what I commented on Comics Kingdom. For reasons I cannot
comprehend, it trigged the moderation filter. Which they might as
well call the "Deletion Queue", since I have yet to see anyone's
comment enter the filer and re-emerge in the comments.

Why not someday a Fastrack/Save Havens/Kevin and Kell WHEN BILL HOLBROOK COMIC STRIP WORLDS COLLIDE crossover?

Fastrack and Safe Havens are totally linked, but Kevin & Kell takes place in a completely different anthropomorphic universe. I don't see how a crossover could happen without harming the foundations of the strips.

/A/ crossover could be managed. We already know that there is a
cross-universe portal in the Bermuda Triangle, one that is a tightly
held secret, and can be safely used only for short stays. But I do not
see what could be done creatively.

Don't you even remember in Summer months from 1962 to 1985 when the Justice League of America (Silver Age of comic books) teamed up with the Justice Society of America (Golden Age of comic books).

Of course. But all of the strips in the Holbrookverse are comic.
Essentially gag-a-day, though with continuity. So—where do we get a Big
Bad? A Big Bad bad enough to risk the entire K&K universe by the mere
act of crossing over? Not to mention that the two human strips (in the
same way as “Funky Winkerbean” and “Crankshaft”) are chronologically out
of sync.

I /think/ I have a shadow of a workable plot, but since BH is not
unknown here, I’m not going to put forward a dreaded Story Idea. (I’m a
first-wave B5 fan.)

I think the bigger issues are twofold here:

One, we canonically know that that portal doesn't go to Fastrack/SH's
Earth, but to the Earth of GPF (which also raises an issue of fridge
horror, in that THAT Earth has been in stasis for months).

Two, Bill, last I checked, does *not* want KFS to gain the copyright and
trademark power over K&K. A decade ago, there was an FAQ (I think on the
old HerdThinners version of the K&K site) that said either having Sam
appear in Domain OR having the K&K crew guest on Sam's earth would have
entailed the risk of their copyrights being assumed by KFS.

I don't know that allowing the reruns to be handled by KFS as
ComicsKingdom changes that or not, either.
