Followups set to rec.arts.comics.other-media

According to Comic Book Resources News "The Comic Reel"
http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=4171 ,
Production Weekly, an entertainment industry trade that tracks production
schedules and other production information, is reporting that Joss Whedon
has signed on the dotted line for X3, with production scheduled for June
2005.

Since I've just read the CBR story and not the Production Weekly story, I
don't know if he's signed for writer, director, or both.

If Whedon were to take over as Director, my question would be how much
would he be following Singer's lead with regard to where the story has
been leading us from the past 2 movies (Phoenix) or will he decide to
take things in a completely different direction wholly his own.
