Any details on the upcoming Man-Thing movie?

I recently read, either in Marvel Preview or Diamond's preview, references
to a summer release of a Man-Thing movie.
However, I've not seen trailers or hints about its release before
hands.
Given the track record of 'silent' promotionals, I don't have a lot
of hope for it.
But I was hoping perhaps someone on this newsgroup had some good news
about the movie...

I have good and bad news. Good news: it's a horror film that's been moved
from an August release to an October release, so it's definitely in a
Halloween-type promotion. The bad news is that it's been moved from a
theatrical release to a direct to video release, which is a horrible sign.
