The X-Men 2099 Character FAQ

As far as I am concerned, all the characters and information are
property of Marvel Comics. All I did was put some of the information
on these characters into this form. If for some reason, Marvel makes
money off this particular document or further revisions, I want some
for putting this document together. Feel free to forward additions,
suggestions, comments, or perhaps questions to my email address.
References appear as (Title Issue/Page). The FAQ is organized first
by last name, and when no last name is available, by appearance.

Jordan Boone was a hotshot with Alchemax. He was able to
recreate some of the lost work of Reed Richards with his Virtual
UnReality Experiments. While with Alchemax he was able to discover
the true nature of the Valhalla Project and was able to infiltrate the
project. Sabotaging the psych and genetic restructuring processes he
was able to retain his own identity throughout his transformation.

Timothy, the first character introduced, has been born with
mutant abilities, that he cannot conciously control. After being
captured by The Theatre Of Pain, La Lunatica's touch pushed Timothy
away from his mellow self and closer to the edge and awakened the
memory of his causing the accidental death of Reiko, Timothy's old
girlfriend, when his powers flared. (Xmen-2099 4/22)

We are introduced to Shakti while she is monitoring the security
for one of the "gatherings" at Nuevo Sol. Gatherings that are open
to all, nomads, fringers, corporate dropouts and discards, and even
degens.

and studied at Alchemax Univerisity. His contract was broken by his

Krystalin, although not a Thorite, has always admired her
mother's conviction in her Thorite beliefs, and strength of character.
She wishes to aid in the realization of Xi'an's post-corporate dream.
She and Henri had a history together in Berkeley prior to joining.

Bloodhawk's real name has not been revealed. His mutant power
manifested at the age of thirteen while being studied by The
Controllers, (Xmen-2099 4/26) He feels a deep connection to the Earth
and wants to protect its beauty, at all costs.

Some people may disagree, but I feel this character was written
to die. It seems, she was to be a catalyst to forge the team into a
unit. Tina was the first member of the team to befriend Timothy.
The two quickly began to form a strong bond. Her senseless death at
the hands of Junkpile outraged Timothy.

There was no love lost between Desdemona and her father, Noah,
although she did have respect for him. Desdemona has developed a
great interest in the affairs of the casino and Syndicate. She is an
intelligent, perceptive and forceful woman.

Lytton cut deals with Alchemax and the Cyber-Nostra behind his
father's back. Lytton knew that he was being cut out of his father's
will and decided to frame Xi'an with his father's death, therefore
leaving him in control of the casino and a seat on the Syndicate.

Xi'an had told him to end his "Red Trade" of kidnapped desert
nomads. Unfortunately, that warning proved to be a means for Noah's
son, Lytton, to frame Xi'an for the murder of his father. Noah Synge
hated the mega-corps, (i.e. Alchemax).

The strong man of the group. More of an artist, at heart, than a
warrior. He can mimic any metal he is in contact with and wears
several bands, including Adamantium, around his arms. He, Henri and
Krystalin were the first to join Xi'an.

He comes from an Asian heritage and travelled to Saigon where he
experienced the vision which showed him the man he could become.
Xi'an feels that the dreams of both Xavier and Magneto are compatible.

Junkpile joined Xi'an when he chose to leave them. Junkpile never
felt he was an X-man. He is currently fueled by hatred and driven by
power. Xi'an feels that Junkpile will return to fight with them.

Enslaved by Controller Thirteen, La Lunatica has spent ten years
under his control. Released from that control by Timothy's energy
blast, she has decided to take revenge on controller Thirteen. Her
skin was shown to incredibly tough when she was able to ignore
Krystalin's crystal splinters.

Not much is know about Controller Thirteen. He is a member of a
group of men claiming to be scientists who were searching for the
mutant gene. The Controllers were running tests on Bloodhawk, these
same tests caused Bloodhawk's abilities to manifest for his escape.

amounts of heat. Bioshop trackers were halted in their attempt to
recapture\kill him by the other members of The Freakshow. Dominic
appears to have the perceptions and perhaps faculties of a child.

During the Great Purge, a woman named Hurricane was a conductor
on the Underground Railroad that carried mutants to safety. The Xmen
beleive that Mama Hurricane may be the same person. Mama Hurricane
has been sending out pirate transmissions telling all that they must
not beleive what the mega-corps say is the truth.
