LAKESHORE RECORDS TO RELEASE ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK FOR SURROGATES
Soundtrack Features Original Music by Richard Marvin
(November 10, 2009- Los Angeles, CA) – Lakeshore Records will release
the original soundtrack for SURROGATES, available digitally (iTunes
and Amazon Digital) on November 10th and in stores on November 24,
2009. Richard Marvin (U-571, TV’s Three Rivers and Without a Trace)
composed the score.
SURROGATES marks the fourth collaboration between director Jonathan
Mostow and composer Richard Marvin – the first three were U-571,
Flight of Black Angel, and Breakdown. Marvin was a top studio pianist
playing for composers including Maurice Jarre, Jerry Goldsmith, and
John Williams. In the 1980s, he worked with Mike Post who gave Marvin
the opportunity to compose for The A-Team and Hardcastle & McCormick.
Marvin’s television work also includes Six Feet Under, In Treatment,
Without A Trace, and the new series Three Rivers.
Touchstone Pictures presents SURROGATES, based on the comic book The
Surrogates by Robert Venditti, a gripping action thriller by Jonathan
Mostow (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machine, Breakdown) which also stars
Radha Mitchell, Rosamund Pike, Boris Kodjoe, James Francis Ginty,
Michael Cudlitz, James Cromwell, and Ving Rhames.
People are living their lives remotely from the safety of their own
homes via robotic surrogate—sexy, physically perfect mechanical
representations of themselves. It’s an ideal world where crime, pain,
fear and consequences don’t exist. When the first murder in years
jolts this utopia, FBI Agent Greer (Bruce Willis) discovers a vast
conspiracy behind the surrogate phenomenon and must abandon his own
surrogate, risking his life to unravel the mystery.
