Hmm. This makes at least the third occasion this year of snitchers getting
people in trouble because of what they've said on racm. I propose a name
for this phenomenon: weaselitis, the condition of being a person who would
forward posts in order to get the original poster in trouble, except in
cases of netiquette enforcement. Verb usage: weasel, e.g., "Some prick
weaseled Len Strazewski."

In fairness, it's even more the case than ever before that one should post
to Usenet as if what one writes will also appear the next day on the front
page of the New York Times and whatever paper your boss, SO, and parents
read. To a degree, this has always been true, but with the Internet
explosion its the case more than ever.
