What happened to Warlock?

Just as Warlock seemed to regress between the pages of his own series and
Nova, so too does he seem to regress between Nova and New Mutants #5.

It was a small scene just setting up his return, and maybe I am saying this
too soon, but I do hope he isn't going to be written as he was in the early
days of the New Mutants (vol1). It would be cool if he turned off his
"Doug-ness" while with the Technarchy, but can turn it back on when he is on
Earth.

Sorry Patrick, but it looks like your (and my) worst fears on the
re-return of Warlock are true. He's acting just like he did in the
original New Mutants series. I'm sure they'll completely glaze over the
whole Douglock phase and the following Marvel Tsunami "Warlock"
mini-series. And on top of it all, Doug himself is scheduled to come
back from the dead too!

You know what they say, in Marvel comics no one stays dead except Uncle
Ben and Buck... erh, Uncle Ben and Gwen Sta... hmmm.... except Uncle Ben.

Actually, Uncle Ben even came back in Friendly Neighborhood
Spiderman...kind of...it was actually his evil twin from an alternate
reality where May died instead.
