What the heck has happened to her?

Any writers have any plans for her?

Does anyone remember who she is?

Sietel? No wait, that's me.

The happy-go-lucky offspring of Unis the Untouchable. Most famous for
being an Acalyte and killin' schoolchildren.

I was reading the OHOTMUDE entry for our professional wresteling
presumed dead untouchable buddy and I tell ya. It hints REALLY REALLY
strongly that he yet lives. Or at least did back then.

Clever. You've made a subtle drug reference, subliminally hinting at
"alkaloids" while trying to say acolytes. This bit of ingenuity deserves
recognition and probably the reason the acolytes were strong, was
because they were on steroids of some kind.

But she sure the heck was makin' like she was ready to do it in
UXM #298. Maybe she's a school bully with an attitude about the
mentally retarded.

Actually, she is Radius's SISTER; everyone always seems to get Radius and Flex
confused, even though they are almost complete opposites.

You are wrong. It is "Unuscione."

She is either the daughter or sister (unsubstantiated) of Unus the Untouchable
(aka Gunther Bain aka Angelo Unuscione).

As for where she is... I could not tell you, or care enough to research it.

She did get pushed around by Colossus in UXM #300. However, we
had Mark Waid give her a cooler head in a pre-"Onslaught" XM ish
not long afterwards. Goes to show how different writers handle
the same character, doesn't it?

Which is interesting, because I could imagine Unuscione growing
a little more mature (if not less bigoted against those pesky
flatscans) as a result of her contact with Cyclops... /nawwww/,
that would be character development; a big /NO-NO/ at Marvel comics
these days...

I reread that issue, #300 and X-Men 42-44 and man, Unuscione has a bloody
bad attitude. She's also slightly fanatical in her speech. If I was an
X-Man, I'd have thumped her by now.

Sure, another of the fairly generic band of mutant terrorist led by

Well, there's still debate over whether she's Unus' daughter or
sister. My vote is for sister, FWIW.

Yeah, it does, but he looked pretty dead when he collapsed into Blob's
arms. And he croaked way back in 1984, so unless he's been hiding out
really well ever since, I don't know where he could've gone.
On the other hand, not long before he died, he was thinking to himself
of going far away "where they've never even heard of mutants" or
somesuch, so maybe he's living it up on a beach somewhere, drinking
margaritas.

Well it looked like she was while they were in the desert, but I'd say that
disappeared when Cyclops handed them over to the police immediately.
Whatever about the Kleinstocks, I don't remember She or Scanner anything
really bad. They had "Rehabilitate me" in big red letters on them, and they
were treated badly by the Xers.

Having not purchased the issue, I only recall them wandering
into the old Reavers base (the same used by the X-Men during
their "Invisible in the Outback" period) and discovering that
someone had been using it prior to their arrival. No doubt the
scene you've mentioned may have taken place off-panel and seems
logical considering the POV that Carmella expressed before.

Blame it on Marvel editorial not seeing the opportunity to
do something with this. Instead, they stuck with the "Cross-
over Of The Season (tm)", and the characterization and poten-
tial of the core X-books (and all spinoff titles at the time)
suffered.

Provided that they /had/ taken the track suggested above,
I think that Unuscione being a more aggressive "anti-heroine"
with a prejudice against humans and using more violent means
to protect mutants from the likes of the FOH and such would
have been interesting, if a little bit of a rehash of the
role that Punisher had been playing in the "mainstream" MU
all these years...

Alas, one can always speculate about these things.

Something did happen offscreen, but what? And how did Cyclops and everyone else
get back home again? I forgot.

Ooooh hooo hooo, oooh hooo. Harsh words.

Good thing this discussion isn't happening face to face.

Anyway, if she is generic, half the mutants ever created are generic. Yes
her character was textbook-constructed and completely functional and she
probably deserved to die a couple of time on the basis of dialogue alone,
which makes her perfect for future development by an X-Men writer capable
of moulding interesting fascinating personalities.....whoops.....there went
my argument.

Plus that psi-exoskeleton man. Neat.

Sietel.
