I think it's the strongest issue Chris and Sal have done. While it doesn't
have some of the really fun moments that have appeared in the previous
issues, it also doesn't have any of the terrible lows the books had.
It's a good issue.
We get the FF back into space (hey, the Moon counts!), an old FF foe, some
crossing with Iron Man coming up, and a new development about FF Plaza.
It's got some problems. I'm not real excited about how Johnny's being
portrayed and in one scene Reed accuses Johnny of too many frivolous
relationships. Ummm... let's have a flashback, shall we?
Frankie was ripped away from him.
A relationship for about 80 issues with Alicia only ended when it was
revealed... agh... I still can't bring myself to type it. You know what I
mean, though.
Check it out in the store, first. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

It's NOT that much better, but then again Liefeld Cap comics looked like
masterpieces next to FF #12. When was the last time we had a really memorable
FF story?? The Simonson run?? Take it from someone who has read every FF
issue, this is not the FF we all know and love. I don't know these characters
anymore. Until Claremont understands that there is no need for x-references in
every issue, it'll probably never be good. Why does Claremont have no clue who
these characters are? Was it a clone of him that wrote the wonderful FF vs the
X-Men?? I hate to bash the FF, since these are my favorite characters, but I am
in utter amazement at how unreadable and confusing it has become. And am I the
only one who thinks that Thibert can ruin anyone's pencils.
I'm just flat out disappointed.
