>Judd Winick to Serve as Editor-in-Chief of DC Comics
>
>(New York, NY and Burbank, CA) DC Entertainment, founded in September 2009
>to unleash the power of the DC Comics library of characters across all media
>platforms, has named the final member of the newly-established executive team.
>Judd Winick, who has been named Editor-in-Chief of DC Comics, joins Jim Lee and
>Dan DiDio, Co-Publishers of DC Comics, and Geoff Johns, Chief Creative Officer of
>DC Entertainment. Diane Nelson, President, DC Entertainment, made the announcement.
I guess we all should have seen this coming after Dan DiDio accepted a
promotion. I don't see how he's going to be able to manage this at
the same time he's writing Power Girl and JLI.
I hate April 1st.
JD
> I hate April 1st.
I suppose it could be worse - there could have been some 'big events'
planned along the lines of a certain 'comic strip switcheroo' or Marvel's
Assistant Editors' Month.
Could you imagine reading the Adventures of Mxyzptlk, Batmite: Gotham Mites
or even a 'Larry's World' issue of (Teen) Titans?
How about an Omnibus edition of Archie's Madhouse or Marvel's What The?! or
even a nude/hentai edition of your favorite mainstream or indie
comics/manga?
Pranks *are* part and parcel of the fun but there's also something to be
said about the creativity behind each prank. (Some have been better than
others)
And I think we can all be glad (or sad) that it only comes once a year. ^_^
Signed,
Warewolf
who could have joined in on the fun this year but didn't.
