I recently reread after listening to the audio book and am still
trying to work out if Ollie Queen made it or not.
I have to say I actually enjoyed the audio book, I thought they
managed to clarify a lot of stuff that was there but didn't come
through well in Ross's (obviously very good looking) art.
Thanks.

All the Queens died in the explosion. including Ollie.

Prayeth tell, who were some of the voices in that audio book? I've been
looking for it for a while now; hopefully I'll one day be able to hear
them. I remember hearing that some comic creators, including Waid and
Ross, as well as Denny O'Neil, had bit parts as extra characters.

Kingdom Come Audiobook adaptation written by John Whitman who did the
audio adaptation of The Story Of Robin, which I've never seen or heard of anyone
ever owning.
My personal take on the KC audiobook was that it was not bad at all. However
the audiobook that rates the highest in my experience was the Batman: The
Complete Knightfall Saga produced by BBC Enterprises, and the worst was
Superman Lives.
I only wished that they had released these audiobooks on CD as tapes will wear
and can and have been eaten by tape decks.
I don't even know which of the people played which of the main
characters, never mind which characters the guest voices portrayed.

In an issue of Wizard they had mentioned that Mark Waid read the line he always
wanted to do since childhood, "Look, up in the sky..."
As for the others it didn't say. They mentioned that they all got paid $1.00 each
for a talent fee. I don't remember where but some of the others played part
of the quintessence.

It was reported in the DC column in the comics that Denny played the Phantom
Stranger. I remain curious just what that means, since in KC itself (and, AFAIR,
in Maggin novel) the Stranger never speaks.
Jacob T. Levy
In the Stranger had a few brief words in the audio version. As for the Stranger
never speaks, it's not entirely true, there was a Phantom Stranger miniseries a
few years back and he had some dialogue.

Oh, of course the Phantom Stranger *can* speak--he's one of the
most loquacious characters in all comicdom! But Jacob
was pointing out that the Stranger has no lines in the print
version of Kingdom Come, even if he was given a few lines in
the audio version.
But really, Jacob, do you mean to tell me that you don't own
a copy of the Kingdom Come audiobook yourself? You,
quintessential Phantom Stranger collector who aims to own
every appearance of ol' Phanny? Man, I'm losing faith in ya...
