According to writer James Robinson, his Starman series is headed for
its grand finale. Will this occur around issue #75 or so? DC is now
advertising #72, which could likely feature Ted Knight's death.
#73 will probably show his funeral. James has also said, that after
Grand Guignol there will be a final installment of Talking With David.
Then, comes the long awaited Starman of 1951 story. After that, James
said the series will end. Has anyone else heard anything to the
contrary? I wish Ted didn't have to die, he's my favorite of the
supporting cast members. Ted's relationship with his son Jack, is the
true heart of the book.

Where did you get this information, if I may ask?

Steve C. (who will hate to miss his monthly dose of Opal City)

It was a news report on either Newsarama or CBR's Daily Buzz. Either
way, it was a reputable comic news source, quoting Robinson himself, I
believe.

Robinson has always had a definite ending for this book. It was always a finite
story. Acording to him it willl end at #80. But if DC will allow him to do a 2
issue Shade origin, it will be #82.

Robinson himself stated this on the official Starman board on the DC Message
Boards which he frequently visits and answers questions from fans.
