LEGION LOST (II) 8

In a prelude to next month's Culling crossover with the Teen Titans and
Superboy, the Lost team is attacked by the Ravager and a band of
super-beings who are agents of N.O.W.H.E.R.E. No, it has not been revealed
who this organization is, or why they want this team, or the Titans, or
Superboy. The Lost team gets captured rather quickly, even though it takes
the entire issue to do so. The entire team is fought one on one, then is
taken out by some sort of psi-blast that knocks out everyone in about a
three mile radius (in Central New York City for Pete's Sake!), The only
real bits of plot development is Tyroc over-reacting neagtively to Timber
Wolf acquiring money (from criminals and drug dealers) last issue, and
Yera's thoughts just before her battle that she's actually on a secret
mission, Alastor and the virus was just a ruse, and she had already broken
up with Colossal Boy before coming back to the past. If that's the case,
why did Gim quit the Legion and join the UP Space Fleet after he thought she
died? Too much of this series does not make sense.

LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES: WHEN EVIL CALLS trade paperback.

Another new collection, this time of the Legion Academy stories and the
latest war with the LSV that ended the lastest Adventure run, and LSH Volume
6. Arranged in a slightly more comprehensible format than strictly
chronological, we first get five chapters of Academy (Adventure 523-527),
Legion of Super-Villains 1, and the war from LSH (VI) 11-14, the
headquarters attack by Cosmic King from Adventure 528-529, and the end of
the war from LSH (VI) 15-16. Covers are included without logos or extranous
stuff. Overall, a nice package with a lot of story in it.

Still waiting for Archives 13.

Until next time,
Archive Lad
