Hi gang!

It's been a frustrating few weeks, with my keyboard shooting craps on me,
and running to the edge of exhaustion working on a play with the local
theater group (Happy Days: a New Musical. Ever hear of it?). I've been in a
sequence of getting up in the morning, going to work, then going to the
theater for rehearsals, then getting something to eat after we get done well
after dark, sometimes a late as midnight, then going home and collapsing,
only to repeat the next day. I've consoled myself that only the expected
series titles had a new issue show up until now. Now, another book has come
out too, and with a replacement keyboard, can now be reported. Details

The regular books:

LEGION LOST (II) 11.

Pretty much a senseless fight issue with the paramilitary group. Nothing
memorable about it.

LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES (VII) 11

The rescue team arrived on the Dominator homeworld to rescue Brainy and
Dreamy, and the betrayer is revealed. Logically, it could not have been any
other character, but it was still surprising to see who it was.

The new book:

SUPERMAN--ACTION COMICS VOLUME 1: SUPERMAN AND THE MEN OF STEEL hardcover.

This reprints the first 8 issues of the new 52 Action series, including the
two-issue Legion crossover. I still don't like the more paramilitary
designs given to the three founders. I also question if the collection is
worth the $25 price tag. I'm not all that enamored with the writing on this
series. The art is pretty decent for the most part.

Until next time,
