Hwaet! I have created a link for the Legion into the greater Internet:
http://netheroes.tumblr.com/

I'm planning to post stories one chapter per day, posting full arcs and
skipping between series, in an order that will ease people into the
universe while showing off its breadth and depth.

I'm wondering, though: Would it be okay, ethically speaking, to repost
stories from writers who aren't around anymore? I mean, I'd put in all the
credits, and I certainly wouldn't be making money off it... I'd assume it
would be similar to putting it in the archives, but what do you think?

On the same note, might I get permission from those writers who *are*
around to repost your stuff? (I have several specific arcs in mind
already...)

Andrew "NO .SIG MAN" "Juan" Perron, not sure if he should post on
weekends...

That seems like a good evangelism tool.

I think if it was posted to Usenet without x-no-archive, it's fair game.

Not that I have that much to offer yet, but you got my permission.

I would tend to agree with that interpretation... Of course, it might be
sophistry: One could argue that there's a difference between the immediacy
and stumble-across-it serendipity of a tumblr and an archive...

Ahem. Anyway. Feel free to repost my stuff (both stories and the meager
few pieces of art) as it takes your fancy.

I suppose most probably don't care... though there might be someone who
would object...

Back when I reposted Saviors of the Net and Mutton Mania, no one got
upset...

Yeah, sure... feel free to repost any LNH or LNHY work of mine...

And for suggestions of works by people still on RACC...

Rob's Easily-Discovered Man of course...

Dave's Constellation/Dvandom Force.. (keep in mind that early on there
was a crossover between the two in Bad Forms)

Saxon's Limp Asparagus Lad...

Martin's LNH v1

Lalo's 58.5

Jamas's Fan.Boy

Russ's Drifter

Tom's Web of Mainstream Man/Master Blaster stuff

Adrian's Ultimate Mercenary

Hmm maybe a special day of the week for LNH20 and LNHY stories...

Good point. And it's not like there haven't been ways to remove the
opportunity to do it, if one wanted. (Abhay apparently did it very
thoroughly.)

True, but OTOH, one could argue the same for the difference between early
archives and, say, Google Groups.

So, I believe I'm going to go forward with posts from the archives. First
up, LNH v2 #1-2, and then, 501 Blues: The Long Road Home.

Andrew "NO .SIG MAN" "Juan" Perron, who's gotten actual permission for the
latter.

Well, here's an idea: how about links (either to the Eyrie archive,
google groups posts or to the RACC mailing list)? If you wanted to
get really ambitious you could insert links into a timeline so people
can read stories in order.

If stories are already archived then I don't think you need any
additional permission to link to them.

Honestly, I think that linking isn't enough; it's one hoop too many for the
casual reader. Not to mention that I want to present it in a
shiny-HTMLized format, which, again, will be easier for newbies.

Andrew "NO .SIG MAN" "Juan" Perron, there will definitely be links, tho.

my approval for posting any of my works. I'm curious how you mean to
get the word out, though--Tumblr is pretty huge.

I'm not sure! Tonight, I plan to explore options for promotion.

So, have you already run out of LNH material? :)

Oh and you should make the background more colorful... maybe get Wil's
permission to all that LNH cover art and wallpaper the background with it...

You can use any pictures in the LNH webcomic if you want too..

Argh. No, I've just been busy over the past couple days.

That's right; I keep forgetting to ask Wil if he has larger versions of
cover art.

Just wanted to say that even though it may not have reached a new
audience yet, it's nice to see these stories in a new context. I
enjoyed the introductory bits too.

As for future plans, you might consider posting Adventures of Easily-
Discovered Man and Legion of Occult Heroes.

Why thank you! I work hard on 'em - that's why I didn't get one posted
last night. >->; (Gotta rebuild the queue.)

Both of those are 100% definites.

I'm not sure I could survive reading something more affecting than LOH
#4. :'(

Anyway, I just got the first instance of RACC-based spam in years.
Some vlogger from Youtube sent me an message asking me to "check out
my videos please :) I like being as creative as possible and would
love you guys to give me some ideas :) PLEASE SUBSCRIBE IF YOU LIKED
THEM :)" These videos had nothing to do with comics, superheroes, or
anything whatsoever to do with this group. She had a tumblr, so I'm
willing to be that she found this place from Andrew. On the other
hand, it's good that someone from outside the group is paying
attention, even if it's a spammer.

AJM (Also you should consider posting Saviors of the Net and Mutton

AWESOME. (Sort of.)

Oh, definitely. But for this current group, I have a plan: first arc or two
of Constellation -> Tsar Chasm stuff -> LNH Triple Play #1 -> Looniverse
Adrift! From there I'm not sure.

Andrew "NO .SIG MAN" "Juan" Perron, build up to Retcon Hour, maybe.

Don't forget the early issues of EDM, since it crosses over with both
Bad Forms and Robot Invasion. Also, if you're posting Retcon Hour, you
probably want to post Retcon Midnight, and if you do that, you
probably want to post Pliable Lad. Interestingly this is pretty much
the same order I went through when I started rereading classic LNH
stuff--I wanted to go back and read all Dvandom's old stuff, and I got
drawn into all the series that crossed over with it.

AJM (also yay, Tsar Chasm)
