Heh. In the past few weeks I've given away dozens of Free Powernaut
Comic Day strips - possibly hundreds, if the store I get my comics from
had a good day with my flyers. And the results are in...

* He got three more likes on Facebook, to bring him back up to 13. The
new likes are all from people I invited, who liked the Powernaut before
Facebook changed his Like rules.

* Web statistics say the most popular page on my web site for the last
three months is... a photo I took of the pointy room inside the House of
the Rock in Wisconsin in 2005!
http://eilertech.com/photos/mineralpoint/05_pointy_room.jpg ... The
Powernaut's main page made my Top 30 list *one* month. But as usual,
photos and non-story pages I wrote ten or more years ago remain my most
popular.

So this is still a "building" year for the franchise. And I'd guess
RACC is not missing out on a massive publicity source in Free Comic Book
Day yet.

Hard out there for a pimp.

Listen, you should consider listing Powernaut on comic update sites like
Onlinecomics.net, Belfrycomics.com, and TheWebcomicList.com. They'll
track your updates and show when Powernaut has updated with a link to
the update so that folks who like it can come and read it. And because
you get to list it under genres new readers will be able to find it. The
Continentals, Chevalier, and all me and Monique's other comics are
listed on comic update sites including the ones I've mentioned above.

Just something to think about.

yeah, the Gov ought to make it easier for pimps like us to make a
living. We create jobs, or at least we would if people would pay us for
what we do.

Thanks for the advice, Dee. I've listed on Comixology, and I'll check
the other sites. However, the Powernaut may be in trouble because I
write my web site the old-fashioned way, without third-party web
publishers. When I add a strip, it goes at the head of
http://www.eilertech.com/stories/powernaut/ and the tail of whatever
story I'm writing now, but I usually won't have a brand new web page to
share. I console myself by imagining how much my audience must enjoy
reading more than one strip at a time just by paging up and down.

Probably worth getting listed just for the hits...

Did get quite a few hits from Belfrycomics...

And I've cracked the 250 most read comics on Belfry:
http://belfrycomics.net/view/mostread

(203 at the moment... higher than Calvin and Hobbes! Take that Bill
Watterson! :)

heh. Someone's obviously been working harder than Bill Watterson.
Congratulations. 8{D>

My monthly web statistics are in for Free Powernaut Comic Month, and
they're actually encouraging now. The most popular single thing on my
web site is still... you guessed it, a picture from inside the House of
the Rock. But the Powernaut's main page has now made it past my
previously most popular web *page* (as measured by Visits to Entry
Pages), the Silly Towns List.
(http://www.eilertech.com//hhgg/silly.htm) Silly Towns actually has
given me advertising dollars over the years, and now it shall be
advertising the Powernaut because it totally can.

I checked a definition of Successful Media Sites this weekend.
The whole of Eilertech.com comfortably earned this description: "A
small to moderate sized business can get this many visits if the site is
well promoted." The Powernaut main page on its own earned: "This many
visits is quite achievable for any site, but it will require a little
work. Not much, just a little."

And... Gah! Powernaut seems to have made #100 on Belfry Comics!

That's pretty good. The highest I got on that site was I think #108
before I began to drop and drop... till I dropped right out of the
rankings altogether...

#657 on the webcomiclist at the moment...
