Portable reading is to be encouraged. What's more
portable than a book?

to pack in several books. But the problem
with these machines is that they discourage
reading long plot development... or long anything.
They discourage reading.
I can see the utility of an audio Kindle for people with
poor eyesight, but that's not how they're marketed.
