I just finished this wonderful book but am slightly confused. The inside
cover states that only one of the narratives is the truth - this becomes
apparent since all of the narratives contradict each other. However at no
point does Pears say which narrative is 'the truth'. My feeling is that
the final narrative, Wood's, is intended to be regarded as the most
accurate - but I am not sure that this is necessarily true.
What are your feelings about this? Is Wood the narrator we are supposed to
believe?
Thanks and regards,
..matthew
