You mean, as in "food"? :-) (Since last time it was bread...)
- Dirk
5. And did it originate with Good beings?
That was actually a comment, not a question :-) (Or I would have added the
number myself). I had a hard time imagining something "manufactured"
from the animal kingdom. Though now I think about it, something made
from leather or guts would probably count as manufactured, too.
Though in that case, it would probably contain stuff from the other
two kingdoms, as well.
- Dirk
> I hope my omission isn't serious.
Not if you strike Dirks clarification comments as earning a #4 it isn't
serious. :)

5. Is it an item *primarily* of "apparel"?
(By this I'm trying to distinguish this "manufactured" item from more
primarily utilitarian items - like bags and sheathes)

6. Was it in the possession of someone evil at some time?
Karasu.

7. did it travel? (as in, go on (a) slightly longer voyage(s) than, for
instance, out of the breadbox and into the toaster... (see, questions
can be wordy, too!))

I see two Gandalfs and church bell. And two half lions chasing
a bull rat each over the lake. (Rorschach tests seen by "Illogic")
> Yes, it travels.
8. Was it in the possession of members of only one race?
Holl.
> |: Yes, we are told so by two reliable witnesses.
9. Was this race a subset of the Second-born children of Ilvatar?
Corvus.
10. Was it a family heirloom?

11. Was this race the hobbits?
Korb.
> No.
I have a candidate answer in mind, but first I'll ask ---
12. Did it belong to Gondorians?
Cr.
Was it the Horn of Boromir?

Yes, you were right there.
Something told me it was an item "worn" but not a garment. I had a few
things in mind depending on race... but things like a leather sword sheath
or a horn were in my mind even then.

> > Was it the Horn of Boromir?
> YES! You're the winner!
I request a respite until tomorrow morning to come up with a new item.
It is very late here in the eastern US. I will sleep on it.
-W
Damn! I woke up early with the right answer suddenly in my mind, only
to find that I came very late to the party. Congratulations, CC!
