Well for one thing you said:
> The tree could be found growing in a forest or alone.
The Old Party Tree grew alone, in a field (ie, not in a forest).
However its species is unknown so how could you possibly have known
that other members of the same species can also be found in a forest?
Then did the Spirit of Yavanna, Patron Maia of the Olvar come to me
in a dream vision. In the guise of an Entwife she appeared, like unto
a walking elm tree pacing towards me seven yards at a stride.
I was petrified. This went so much against the grain.
However, her bark was worse than her bight, and she spoke to calm me,
saying thusly: "Fear not, for I have come to bestow great wisdom upon
thee concerning jevind's Tree.
"Know then, oh Adan of Narrow Vision, that when he said it could be
found in a forest or alone, he spake sooth. Verily indeed, for
a Party Tree can be found most anywhere where people party, including
but not limited to a forest, plain, prairie, savanna, steppe, veldt,
grassland, pampas, wold, meadow, plateau, Barrow Down, moor, desert,
chaparral, outback, badland, sahel, tundra... well, thee gets
the picture."
I really felt like a sap. Everything was now so clearcut. Beholding
the Mote in jevind's eye I had considered not the beam in my own.
Then as suddenly as she had appeared, Yavannah vanished in a whirlwind
of swirling elm leaves, leaving only a sprinkling of sawdust on the
North Moor of the Shire where she had stood.

:-D You know, for some reason I completely missed this post when it was
first made.
