**Combustion Books & Graphics**
is offering for sale the following modern first
editions, ARCS, and other materials. Thank-you
for taking a look!

*************************************************

o Breton, Andre _What Is Surrealism?_
Translated by David Gascoyne.

First edition, published in 1936 by Faber And
Faber. Number 43 of the Criterion Miscellany.
In wrappers.

This is a rare item for those interested in
surrealism and/or British letters of the 1930s.

There are several problems with the item, the most
serious being a drawing done on the ffep by the
art-student former owner. The volume is yellowed
around the edges of the covers. There is some
chipping at the spine, and a couple of small
tears on the front and back covers.

When I researched this item, I could find only
one dealer who was familiar with it, and he
had a second printing for sale at $150.00. I
think the upward price for a fine copy would
be $500. With the condition in mind,
I have priced this copy at:

$75.00
