Reconstructing the Murals of Teotihuacan. Fine Arts Museums of San

top of spine bumped; overall very good in moderately worn dustjacket
with small chips & tears, creasing at top of spine. This volume examines
a major art form of one of the most important and influential urban
centers in all of Middle America, the first urban city in the New World
and the first major state in all of Mesoamerica. The Teotihuacan murals
are remarkable for their quality, condition, and iconographic breadth.
This well-illustrated book includes scholarly essays, a catalogue of the

trivial wear to edges/extremities; small scrape to bottom of back panel;
overall very good+ oversize paperback. Published in conjunction with the
1990 exhibition. Several scholarly essays, beautifully illustrated. This
copy has been signed on the title page by John M. Rosenfield, a member
of the Japan Society Advisory Committee on the Arts, and by one other,
whose scrawled signature, I'm afraid, I cannot make out. $22.00

throughout. Author worked for years as an anthropological researcher for
the Australian Institute of Aboriginal Studies. This beautiful book
describes and illustrates aspects of the traditional Tiwi culture that

signature of Alfonso Ossorio on the front endpaper. Ossorio (1916-1990)
was a patron of artists (notably Jackson Pollock), as well as being a
