As part of an estate action, I need to place around
three hundred books, all rail titles, in the hands of
a book dealer who will hopefully, in turn, write a
single check for the lot.

Have any of you had personal experience with a
dealer who specializes in RR books? Would you
be willing to share your experiences, good and
bad, with me?

Please respond to me directly, as this topic seems
to have little to do with the Usual Topics discussed
here on a daily basis.

Thanks for reading

Unless I'm misremembering, I _think_ Robert Gavora (rga...@teleport.com)
carries railroad books in addition to his SF line. Another way to look for
a dealer is go to www.abebooks.com and do a search with "Railroad" as the
title, and see which dealers pop up the most often (or alternately, to
whittle down the number of hits, search on one of the titles you're trying
to sell).

I have bought from some of these; never sold to them. Some have excellent
lists, others are pretty thin.

www.hillshobby.com/books
www.trainbooks.com
www.railroadbooks.com
www.mitchells.com/books.txt
www.rails-n-shafts.com
www.teleport.com/~rgavora/railroad.htm
www.rrhobbies.com/books_1.html
www2.thewhistlestop.com/thewhistlestop
members.tripod.com/~ronsbooks/ip1.htm

www.abebooks.com has a lot of dealers that list RR books; it's not clear how
many of them are specialists.

I'm posting this against your request, because I'd like to see additions
anyone else may have...
