R.I.P. Robert Bendick, 91, in June of 2008 ("Eureka! It's Television!" 1993)

He lived in Guilford, Connecticut, with his multi-science illustrator
wife Jeanne Bendick, who turned 90 this year.

An early producer of "The Today Show," he wrote that an important
subject to him is "the impact of television on society--the failure of
television to understand or respond to its incredible
responsibility."
