Aka Elizabeth Fraser and Betty Cholakis, her birthday was yesterday (I hope).

From "Something About the Author":

"Fraser's first achievement in art was a two dollar prize in an Easter egg coloring contest at the age of seven."

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design and now lives in NYC. (Not to be confused with the British artist. Or the 56-year-old California celebrity chef.)

In particular, I remember "The Bigger Giant," which is about the Irish giant Finn McCoul, his clever wife Oonagh, and their giant enemy. (With a sanitized ending.)
