Book Review: My New Town; A Flying Naptime Adventure (D.R. Thompson)

them. Anyone have tips on other "unknown" authors??
I just found one by D.R. Thompson, and I hope he makes more! Here's the
tip on the first one (found it at www.barnesandnoble.com, under Children's
books, by accident, but loved the intriguing cover, so I got it):
MY NEW TOWN: A FLYING NAPTIME ADVENTURE
This is a very simple yet really cute story about moving to a new town.
Well, sort of. It's really more about flying all around the town. YES,
FLYING! What fun! I have always dreamed about flying like a bird, and this
book does it! My kids really love it. Plus, it has a little surprise at
the end that my daughter is really excited about, and even though she is
shy, she shows it to everyone who comes over. "Look! Look! It was REAL!" she
tells them, as she shows them the feather laying on the ground at the end.
What a fun story!
Has anyone read any other books by this author? I want to find them!

Candace Fleming is a great author that isn't really well known yet; I
love "Muncha Muncha Muncha"
Denise Fleming does fabulous illustrations. Try "Lunch" and
"Constructing the Alphabet."
Rick Walton does very fun picture books; "Cars at Play" is a good
place to start.
Nancy Shaw's Sheep books are wonderful to read aloud.
For sentimental moments, "My Monster Mama Loves Me So" by Laura Leuck
is sweet and funny.

Each Peach Pear Plum by Janet and Allan Ahlberg.
Every toddler I have given it to has loved it.
