He was born in Budapest. The last address I have for him - from the
1980s - is Devon, England. (He may have moved there in the 1950s or
1960s.)

The last book I know he illustrated was "Nothing Ever Happens Here" by
Bill Gillham, 1990. ("......an adventure story for children about a
kidnapping.")

Other books he's illustrated include titles by:

Daphne du Maurier - I'll Never be Young Again
Eleanor Farjeon - The Wonderful Knight
C. Everard Palmer - Cloud With the Silver Lining
Rosemary Sutcliff - Shifting Sands
David Rees - The Exeter Blitz (1979 Carnegie winner)
Catherine Storr - The Boy and the Swan
Elizabeth Taylor - Mossy Trotter
R. J. Unstead - Living in Pompeii
Julia Jarman - Poppy and the Vicarage Ghost
Geoffrey Palmer - Ghosts Go Haunting
Alexander Smith - The Perfect Hamburger
Anne Molloy - The Christmas Rocket
Geoffrey Trease - When the Drums Beat
John Kennett - The Sea Shall Not Have Them
Rene Guillot - The Troubadour
Somerset Maugham - The Veil
Guy de Maupassant - Un Vie
Herman Melville - Typee & the Story of Toby

He's also done illustrations for science and history books.
