Hi,

I don't have much information at all...but i'm wondering if anyone might recognize this children's book given the little info I do have. I was maybe 8 or younger when I received it, which means it was in the early 1980's. The story included a character named moonbeam that sort of looked like snoopy. I just remember coloring in it as a child, and there was the character moonbeam, and there were rainbows in the book...and that's about all I remember. I feel like if I saw the book I'd recognize it, but I can't remember much else. My absent alcoholic father gave away all my books for drugs when I was younger. This book...I don't know what it was about it, but it gave me warm fuzzies. So I hope someone recognizes something from my description!

"Moonbeam has dreams you can keep. Now close your eyes and go to sleep." I am also trying to find this book, I think it was part of a collection. All different characters.

12 MYFCD05 TRACK 10 / 28 THE STARS AND THE MOON The stars and the moon come out tonight They watch us while we dream Sleep children sleep The stars will keep us Safe from harm in a moonbeam Hush don t cry The moon knows why Don t be scared tonight The stars are keeping us Safe in their light The stars and the moon come out tonight They watch us while we dream Sleep children sleep The stars will keep us Safe from harm in a moonbeam Time to dream The moon will gleam Don't be scared, it s all right The stars and moon are shining so bright Go to sleep now The stars and moon will guard us tonight

All i could find trying to search anything close to that line was a nursery rhyme song with the above lyrics. Not much help but is this possibly where it may have come from?

Was there a magic tree involved?? I remembered a 'Moonbeam' which turned out to be a 'Moonface'. Try searching for youtube The Magic Faraway Tree.

Could this possibly be "The Finn Family Moomintroll," by Tove Jansson, or
some other book in that same series...? Check it out:
