Believe it or not, one of my rabbits actually bit mine by mistake one
day when I was feeding them (I sit on the floor and they come out and
hop on my lap and otherwise jump around during food time). It's only
happened once--and the bizarrest thing was that she bit right through
my t-shirt.

Does this happen to anybody else? I will be lying in bed or something with my
shirt off and the kitten will climb up onto my chest and he will try to bite
my nipple ring! By the way it is the barbell type so he will bite directly
onto the nipple. Ouch!!! Its not that he is trying to find a nipple with
some milk because he does not go after my other nipple or my girlfriend's
either(I do though ;)). I just hope it grows out of it.

When I first got my nipple pierce, one of our cats (Cat II: the
mean one) took a morbid interest in the ring and kept trying to
bite at it or bat it with his paw. A couple wacks on the end of
his nose stopped this; and because Cat II learns quickly, he
hasn't tried it since. The other two cats have never shown anything
more than a passing interest (as in using it to steady themselves
when being held) in the ring; and none have ever exhibited any
interest in my wife's. In fact, now that mine is mostly healed, I
will sometimes stick it in Cat II's face; he very cautiously backs
away, since he probably figures I'm trying to trick him into doing
something that's gonna get his nose wacked again...

You're acting as if you're the boss and the kitten is the pet--but a kitten
is, after all, a cat, therefore the reverse is true. Get the other nipple
pierced and put a ring in it, giving him some variety. The best you can
hope for: he'll choose to go after the ring more often than the barbell.
Being merely a human, you don't get a say in matters like this. <g>

One of my ferrets used to like to pull on my right nipple ring (when I
still had the smaller gauges/sizes). Now that I'm wearing 8ga circular
barbells, she can't comfortably get the ring in her mouth; so she just
pushes it around with her nose....

Good luck but somehow i doubt it. My kitten liked biting on my eyebrow
ring three years ago. Now she goes for any of them-handweb(while i had
it)-nipple et cetra. If there are any tricks to get her to stop i'd be
glad to hear them! (unless i have to give her 'a few wacks on the nose'-
in that case i'm not interested)
good luck,jenn

I don't know if this would work on skin, but my cats HATE the smell of
rosemary oil...Iput it on furniture, and around the doorframes of the rooms I
don't want the cats to enter - it works really well, and I don't believe it
hurts them (well, except a little dignity).

Same here. My kitten does "mushy paws" on my breast until it releases its pheromone, then tries to nurse on me. She was doing it before I got the ring, but
now, she tries to grab the ring in her teeth and run off with it.

I just spent a long weekend at a friend's place in Philadelphia. She
has *three* cats. I was sleeping with no shirt on and Cami, her
oldest and most friendly cat, was under the covers with me. She woke
up and discovered my right nipple piercing - which woke me out of a
sound sleep since its only been in there for two weeks.

Solution? I moved her to my other side. I let her play with the left
nipple piercing, which has been there since last August. Kept the cat
occupied for 15 minutes - the longest I saw her do *one* thing all
weekend. :) Yep, in that household the cats are in charge.

i do recall reading that cats like the smell of human sex pheromones,
which is why we often discover our cats have been silently watching us
once we get finished having sex.

No opinion really about whether it's "too personal".. but it sure

My rat likes my earrings---he tries to steal them, and gets
offended when I notice. I suspect that he just wants more shiny
things to keep in his nest. And (keeping on the subject of small
cute things with big eyes, even if they aren't cats) babies love
my tongue pierce. It is shiny, can rattle, and disappears and
reappears in a most enticing fashion.

Just to fufill brent's Law, I'm going to bring this back to cats :)
My cat, when a kitten, loved my nipple rings, but now he hardly
notices. He does, however, LOVE my septum ring. If I have it in, he
just HAS to nose at it, and gently bat it.

As far as tongue piercings go, mine has grown used to me playing with it
(the cat that is, I don't have a baby), but a friends 2 cats just can't
stop watching me play with it. Then again, someone on here (where are
you karleen?!?) has a rat that likes to chew on the barbell in her
tongue.... *SLURP*

My cat, Avalon, has f%#ked me up twice with my nipple pierce...
ring. One time I was lying down on the couch with my shirt on, he
jumped on to my chest and sat there for a second then decided
to use me as a launching pad and one of his hind paws used my
ring to push off of...
some screams and a little blood later I was okay,
Avalon hid for about 2 hours.

The other time I was picking him up when he didn't want to be(of
course), and he tried to get away and his front paw hooked up with
my nipple ring. Never the less it was the same result, blood shouting
and a scared cat.

Trixie was responsible for my losing a nostril piercing...the first moring
after we got her, she would NOT let my nose ring alone, and got it
terribly infected. I had to take the ring out...

And we STILL kept her. Even though she loves to attack when unwarrented.

Dan calls her Shitmonkey when she is at her worst.

And if I'm crouching naked or playing with the labia rings she jumps at them.

I know the feeling well I had three cata and my dog. They had their little evil harths on playing with

this a way to get up about the house.

I have two cats around a year old... one of them use to play with my nipple piercings (biting as well) when she was a kitten. However the other one she likes to lick and clean me and is very affectionate, if i cuddle her while not wearing a shirt she very carefully bites onto my barbell without biting my nipple and tries to pull it out, as if she knows its not naturally suppose to be there and seem s to think shes doing me a favour... she than becomes obsessed over it untill i put a bra or shirt on
