I am trying to find out more information on a certain type of body art.
If I remember correctly, the person has all their hair removed, and then
has holes drilled into their skulls. The holes don't go all the way
through obviously. Then, somehow there is a healing process. The end
result is being able to screw in and screw out metal spikes (or
different shapes) into your head. I am not actually considering having
this done, but it is something that interests me. Thanks.

Jamie Salisbury spoke like a scholar:
hmm - that wouldn't be an implant of some kind would it?

do a google on Steve Hawarth for more info.

Sounds like a form of trepanation.

What I'm wondering is, *screwing* metal objects in? Barry, do you make
titanium threaded inserts?

he's talking about the spikes that joe whatshisface had implanted
in his skull.

they're attached to a flat piece of metal, jamie. they don't go
any further than scalp.

Ha ha ha.
The name is referring to the final placement. A genital beading is no more
a transdermal implant than a daith piercing is a transautoclave piercing!

It doesn't poke out to the surface after being put in. I don't know if
it's between skin layers or what, since that doesn't hold much interest
for me.

wouldn't that compromise the functionality of the autoclave?

really, parents should talk to their autoclaves about the
repercussions simple piercings can have.
