I posted some dydoe questions a few months ago and only got 1 reply, so
time has passed,
and here I go again. I'm still thinking of getting a pair, and my
question has nothing to do
with the usual, how much pain, how long to heal stuff, I know all that
already. My question
is more directed at people who have had a dydoe pierce for a year or
more, long enough
for it to become *natural* and *just like it's always been there*. You
see, I've had my
PA for a couple years now and find that, though I'd never take it out,
the neat and new
stimulation it gave at first, has become just kind of normal now, and I
no longer notice it at all.

I've replaced the ring with a Bar since I like the look and feel better,
and it's just kind of
part of me now.

My question is just how much sensation DOES a Dydoe add, at first, and
much much later. Is it *in the way* for self pleasuring (kind of like
the phrase) and does it add much to your
partner's enjoyment, both oral and vaginal (I'm assuming heterosexual
here, but feel free
to express alternate lifestyle comments as well).

I've been told that this is typicaly done in like a 14 guage or smaller,
which seems a bit odd
to me, so the question arises, does it have a tendancy to 'rip',
migrate, or have you stretched to a larger size??

Thanks in advance and please forgive any typo's in this message, I've
got a sticky keyboard.

Regards,
Dar.

I had a pair of Dydoe(s) done about six years ago. To tell the truth, I
think the piercer (who shall remain nameless) that performed the
piercing hadn't done a dyddoe before and I was his first. The pain and
bleeding associated with the process was the most I've experienced (I've
got 21 piercings)&(you're going to penetrate the head at least two
times), but were both manageable.

I ran into a few problems both with healing and with functionality.
Healing-wise, I was low on Iron due to tying to go vegetarian (and doing
a poor job of it). This made me Anemic and low in Ferritin (a protein
needed for healing). I was also using HIBICLENS at the time (no longer
recommended) and started having a reaction to it. So my healing wasn't
going well.

As for functionality, the piercing was done using Gauntlet 16Ga gold
Dydoe Studs. (I don't know if they still market them) I feel that the
studs were too small, and caused too much tugging and tearing. The
"self-pleasuring" thing (masturbation) was possible, but I felt no added
benefit for myself. As for partners: I had to wear a condom due to the
healing and the dydoe balls are relatively small - both of these factors
contributed to relatively minor additional stimulation for the partners.

After a while I started to get some migration. The penis head started
to look like a little alien with antennae. I eventualy ended up
removing the studs and letting the holes heal. I've still got two
little scars that look like small eyes (some people think it looks
neat).

If I had to make a recommendation from my experience it would be to pass
on the Dydoe(s). I didn't find it worth the effort. What I did find,
that both myself and my partners have enjoyed, is to get a frenum
piercing, and once healed use a frenum loop with balls on it (available
from Gauntlet). Minimal pain, bleeding, healing time. Greater
functionality , aesthetic options and some pretty cool sensations for
both partners to boot.

Best of luck, whatever you decide.

Hello Darwin,

I've got a pair of dydoe piercings that i've had for two years. I have
3/8" 14ga. with 1/8" balls stainless steel. They have become "natural"
as far as daily ware, but as far as masterbation and sex with my wife is
concerned, the pleasure has diminised slightly. As far as your pa
becoming normal for you, that is what the body does best. It is one of
the wonderous things the body can do, it can accept a rod or ring of
steel and make it normal. Your never going to know what your body is
going to do unless you do it. For me it was'nt just the the pleasure
question, but the way they look and they really look great.

Go for it!
