I read in a book about the yakuza that it takes two assisstants to
stretch the skin and that the tattooees frequently pass out from the
pain.
It must certainly be interesting to watch.
But of course the techniques used in by yakuza are a lot different than
the ones in modern day america.
Thats all I know about it...besides the fact that it makes some
tattooers sqeamish...

I recently just had a very small amount of work done on the base of my
penis. I was expecting quite a bit of pain, but was surprised at how
painless it was. Can't say what it would be like on the rest of the
penis though.

I had a small bee tattooed on the top of my penis, the pain was not as
bad as I thought it would be. There are pictures of this in the BME
pages. You should not have any problem.

Be prepared to have your penis try and hide back inside the body.
If you have work done on the shaft, go see a urologist about getting a
shot to maintain an erection (We have done it at Urban Primitive, but I
can't remember the name of the medication).
Scrotums do not tattoo well, the texture of the skin is such that you
can't get a decent look after healing (far too wrinkly [wrinkley?]),
unless of course, your scrotum is UNUSUALLY tight.. Daemon won't do them
anymore.

I have my penis and and pubic area tattooed. The head hurts when being
done but that is only momentarily. The hardest part wasgetting the under
the rim of the head of the penis. The pubic areais sensitive as there are
a lot of nerves there. the scrotum i saved for pierces which i now have
18.

HMMMM....Never seriously considered it, unless it was as an excuse to
apply Curel or Lubriderm during the days...weeks...months... of healing.

Speaking from the standpoint of a tattoo artist who has tattooed the
penis, as well as having mine tattooed, I did not find it very painful
at all. From the reaction of the several customers over the years who
have gotten it done they did not find it very bad either. All I can say
is find a skillful artist who has experience in tattooing the penis and
is not phobic about it.

My shaft was done to resemble a fish - as I am uncut the end looks a lot
like the fish face you did as a kid - I didn't find the pain very great
however it was more unconfortable as we got back to the base - doing the
head was only momentary - and remember my head stays hidden most of the
time - go for it and enjoy it -

I have had considerable work on both and I agree with the others. It only hurt
until you got started. Pain was only in the mind. It surprised me how easy
it was and one should never stay away in fear if they really want it done. Go
for it!
