Well... the artist that I would recommend really depends on the style of work
that you want done......

If you wanted a portrait/realistic looking piece that I'd have to say Dave
Villiard at Renissanse Tattoo in Woonsockett.

If you wanted Celtic or Tribal I'd have to say Steve at Art Freek OR Dave at
Modern Primitives.

If you wanted Japanese style sleeve work...
Dave at Modern Primitives or Andrew & Kevin from Renissanse.

Bold bright color work I'd have to say KJ at Mod Primitives, Fred & Erick at
Anchor Steam , Don & Mike from Art Freek, or once again Andrew from Renisance.

Black & Grey, Once again Dave from Modern Primitives would be a prime choice.As
would Dave from Renissanse.

Traditional american flash I'd have to recommend Wolfie at Blue Moon in
Cumberland.

Fantasy art style work ... either SkottG.at Electric Ink or Glenn at Bulldog.

When choosing an artist it's best to choose one based on How thier style of
work suits what you want on your body. Go to the above mentioned shops, look at
the portfolios of the individual artists and make your chioce from there. ALL
of the above mentioned artist are clean beyond reproach . And I'm sure will be
glad to talk to you & offer help on your design.

Sane and Joe pretty much covered allot of the area artists. To be honest I
would recommend Anchor Steam Tattoo/ Body Piercing in Newport RI to cover
all areas of style.
I understand why Joe posted like he did, but most people are really not
sure for their first tattoo. @ Anchor Steam there are 4 wonderfully talented
artists. In my opinion they have the best selection of Art and Flash around.
and like Joe said, look at the portfolios....
