The crazy relationship between all people is the reason that make this
anime and manga series becomes so popular. You know, many
Japanese viewers are kinda tired of the typical relationship of male and
female. That show has some really cool and original idea that attracts
a lot of people.

I like this show, the relationship is so messed up that makes me keep
watching it, like you said, I want to find out what happen next to
certain characters.

Yeah, you'll see a lot more explained as you watch more. Ginta's reasons
for not being with Miki are dumb, but things will work out in the end.

Yes, they both know it's wrong, and they plan on waiting until Meiko
graduates before they will go publicly together. However, things will
not go that smoothly...

Yeah, those eyecatches are great. They'll change to another one that's
even better with a little electronic slot-machine/roulette thing that
the characters watch to see who should end up with whom. It's really
funny.

I can't argue with that line. (^_^)

Yuu has a lot of trouble trusting people. This is because of something
that he found out when he was in 6th grade. They explain this about
a dozen episodes later in the series. (around ep 20)
He's not really playing games with anyone, though he does tease people a lot.
> The other guy (forgot his name - ginka?) is
> just plain stupid.
Ginta. Suou Ginta.
> First of all, he chose not to enter a relationship
> with the girl, Miki (is that her name?).
He didn't "choose" not to enter it. Miki wrote him a love letter. One of
his classmates found it before he did, and read it aloud in class. Ginta had
told the classmates earlier that he was "just a friend" with Miki, because he
knew that many of the other students liked her. But he was really in love
with Miki, and was very happy to get the love letter.
Unfortunately, he couldn't say this in front of all the other students,
after having said before that he was "just friends" with her. So that's what
he said when they asked him about the letter... but Miki was standing in the
doorway and heard him.
Ginta assumed that his comment had hurt Miki's feelings too badly, so he
never tried to get together with her. He went out and got a weird haircut,
and went on with his life, though he still secretly cared for Miki.
> Then he expects her to stay forever
> in a state of limbo between having him as her friend and ignoring any
> other guys.
Around the time Yuu showed up, Ginta decided to try again. He and Miki were
really good friends again (still). But since he never explained his real
feelings to her, she misunderstood what he did at the end of episode #3, and
got angry with him.
He's very interested in her, but he's too scared to explain the things that
would clear everything up between them. He's afraid that she'll get angry
with him and hate him.
> Hey, they were young but he is also an idiot for letting it
> go this long!
I'll agree with that. (^_^)
> I'm only on eps #6 so why does he believe that creating
> that fake relationship between him and Yuu's old girlfriend is going to

It was Arimi's idea (Yuu's old girlfriend). She figures that if she and
Ginta start to "go out", Miki will get jealous. If she gets jealous, she might
decide that this is because she really loves Ginta. If she decides she loves
Ginta, then Yuu becomes available for Arimi. Got that? :-)
Arimi managed to convince Ginta that this was a good idea.
(Episode 7.)

Nacchan did try to resist Meiko at first (explained in some flashback scenes
around eps 15-17), but he eventually gave in. Definitely a poor decision
on his part, because there are bound to be repercussions when people find out
about it. (see eps 15-17 :-) )

The commercial breaks seem to be pretty reliable.

Stranger things have happened. (especially in *this* show)

The girl has a one-track mind... "I want Yuu". That's why she seems so
shallow. If she's ever forced to give up on Yuu (see ep 25-26), she'll gain
a little more character.
Same thing for Ginta. If Miki finally makes a decision that she likes
someone else more than him, he'll leave her alone. (see eps 25-26 :-) )

It's my favorite anime series, current or past.

What are we at now, a love dodecahedron? ^_^

I think I uttered one of my loudest "Doh!"'s of all time after seeing
this. Timing is everything in this show, sometimes they're just in time
to see something, sometimes just in time to miss it. But it is _always_
frustrating for the viewer!

By the end of episode 4 we have more plot built up than in the entire KOR
series! Fortunately it does start to cool down, but not much!

Just be careful when discussing this subject, I got many flames for
denoucing Nacchan's Lolicon ways a few months back! ^_^;

I always think it would be really cool if for just _one_ episode they
would change these things, like show Arimi with Yuu. I bet that would
freak a lot of people out!

*cough* *ahem* yes, strange things do happen. I used to hate Arimi with
such a passion, but in this show nothing ever stays the same, whether you
want it to or not.

How can you torture this poor guy so? ^_^

The jury's still out on whether it's my favorite or not, but it's
definitely the most addicting, and that's saying a lot considering how
anime has affected me in the past! Unlike say, Sailor Moon, I cannot
just casually watch one episode of this show (except during the plot
transition episodes). I have to get really psyched up to watch it, and
what I see usually affects my mood for days. Basically anything good
happening to Miki cheers me up, and anything bad brings me down. I know
I'm going to feel a tremendous void when this series ends.
Joe Petrow Atashi mo Yuu ga suki!"

In fact, I was one of the people who harrassed you a little about it. (^_^)
I don't have anything (morally) against Nacchan's behavior... I just think he
was a little stupid for doing it.

Or the often-joked-about Miwa and Yuu.

I only disliked Arimi because she was chasing Yuu (and of course, I wanted to
see Miki and Yuu end up together). Once she calmed down a little, she didn't
annoy me any more.

Years of practice.
