CITYHUNTER EPISODE QUESTION - THE CINDERELLA STORY IN CH91

CityHunter 91 episode when Kaori is made up, and is put onto a
'blind date' with Ryo, who thinks that Ryo knew that he was going out
with Kaori that night?
My personal opinion is that he didn't know - I'll give my reasons when I
see some replies.

Of course he knew because if you've been reading or watching the
show, Ryo doesn't do romantic stuff except when dealing with a few
customer. And also Ryo knew that if she doesn't know that he knew, she
would enjoy it more....

Kaori lost her ear ring that night but found it in her jean pocket
next morning. Ryo must had found out he had been dating her and
returned that lost ear ring.

Plus in the manga episode with.. Oh what was her name..(blond girl from
america, her father was Ryo's partner...No not Mary..) well anyway in
that episode, The girl says something on the lines of "I'm surprised you
remeber me, last time you saw me was when I was 7!(don't quote me on that
one)" Ryo says something on the lines of " I NEVER FORGET a mokori
bijo (beautiful girl)" ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Secondly, no one saw the earring drop on the ground, nor did Ryo catch
it. The earring mystery is something I can't explain, but I think is
something to make fans think about rather than give a spoon-feed
conclusion for once. It could be that the story was told from Kaori's
point of view (after it the date had happened) and chose that the earring
was lost there when she couldn't find it not realising that it was in
her jeans pocket .
Then the next day, Ryo was muttering something, and it didn't seem like
he knew that it was Kaori. He could have given Kaori
Remember, Ryo did get fooled by Koari once before in the final
episodes of the first season, when Kaori decided to dress up as a
female without Ryo's knwoing at the party.
Tell me all, when did you think that Ryo found out? Did he know all
along, did he discover the identity on the way? or did Kaori's friend
tell him he was going to be set up with Ryo?
Ryo has been known to be a bit slow off the mark at times, and this time
I don't think he even left it. He's a dude indeed, but he's not always
100% correct.
Well that's my explaination (geeze, you CityHunter fans need lessons in
anime philosophy, and think something original!)

I think he knew it, too, although this question was never answered
_clearly_ in manga. There are quite a few pieces of evidence for it.
The stroy about the earing is the strongest one, and Ryo's
expression when Miki asked this very question of Ryo (on their
way to battle with Umibozu) is another strong one.

never forgets a woman that he has meet

Oh that's right I forgot about that. And Kaori got mad after hearing him
say that, did she not??

Yeah she did! she says "I'm reconsidering it..." after being asked if she
was Ryo's partner:)
I love that manga episode with Sonia! When it got published in Jump,
people (in japan) thought that City Hunter was going to end because the
episode was so serious! It came to the point where even the voice actor
for Kaori actually called Hokujo(was that his name.. god I'm reall bad
with names..) sensei to make sure city hunter wasn't going to end wit that
episode.
