SCI-FI replays ANIME!

Back by popular demand the SCI-FI channel will be
playing Anime September 4,5 (I think.)

This time they will be playing all the KOR animes.

Hehehe, just kidding.

The shows will be

Robot Carnival

Lensman

Vampire Hunter D.

Get those VCRs ready, and popcorn popping! All three will
be back to back.

I hope they add this as a regular feature.

Feh. VHD was ok to watch once, but I wouldn't care to have it on tape, even
for free. Robot Carnival was good and I thought about taping that the 1st time
around (but didn't). I couldn't watch Lensman for more than 5 minutes.
It was HORRENDOUS. Voice acting aside, who the hell did the sound mixing?
Terrible terrible terrible...

[side note: the local video stores had some anime for rent (basic stuff:
BGC, Dominion, Devil Hunter Yohko, and a few of USMC's poorer efforts) and
after I had watched all that I cared to watch from there, I asked if they
were going to be getting any more soon (I was hoping they'd try a UY tape
and Grave of teh Fireflies came out recently at the time).
The guy behind the counter: Uh, well we're trying to get Akira and
Lensman. Other than that, nothing else has really come out.

Hello?! Have you checked your order forms? Aside from a UY tape being
released every month, GotF, Rumik World, or even ROBOTECH, how do you
figure that?! You pass up getting a UY tape for DOG SOLDIER and THE
CRYSTAL TRIANGLE?! You choose THE HUMANOID over GotF?!?
*heavy sigh*]
