ANIME (JAPANIMATION) PC GAMES HAS FINALLY MADE IT'S WAY TO STATES!!!

Computer Gaming world said,"Japornimation has finally made it's way to the US"
Computer Game Review said, "Cobra Mission is Unique."
Strategy Plus said, "Cobra Mission proves to be quite an original."
Alfred Giovetti said, "Unexplainably Satisfying."

THEY'RE ALL TALKING ABOUT COBRA MISSION FROM MEGATECH SOFTWARE!!!
The new Adventure, Role-playing game for the IBM PC!! All graphics in
Cobra Mission are done in Japanimation (anime)!!!!
It's the first of it's kind in the US.

COBRA MISSION contains some of the best graphics drawn and programmed by
established Japanese comic style artists and programmers. You'll be dazzled
by the 190 different high-resolution (including 50 hot and sexy) anime
animation graphics so provocative you will stare endlessly at your monitor.
Over 40 different soundtracks of musical masterpieces in stereo will allow
your sound card to play to it's fullest potential. There's even 155 real
PCM sounds that will blow your ears off!!! In the end, you'll find
yourself reacting physically and emotionally to Cobra Mission!!!!

PREFACE TO THE STORY
You grew up on a small island south of Florida called "Cobra Island".
However, after high school, you left the island and headed for Florida to
attend college. But that was ages ago and you still don't have a diploma!!! Being somewhat of a failure in school, you were always a little
hesitate to return home. The good news is, during your awful college days,
you became a security guard to support yourself through school and then
later made the transition to become a Private Detective. You claimed
yourself as the Best P.I. in Florida after you solved a small robbery case
a few months ago (one of few cases solved).

A few days ago, you stumbled back to your office after a long day of
detective work. You were about to get cozy with your favorite whiskey
bottle when you noticed your answer machine blinking. Being as tired as
you were, you really didn't want to listen to another complaint about
your work. But you played the message anyway. To your surprise,
the message was from your High School Sweetheart!!!

"Hey handsome, remember me?! It's your heart throb in high school. I need
you!!! Actually, we need you. Young Ladies have been disappearing left and
right, and now, Donna is missing!!! Please come quickly!!! We need your
help!!!"

After hearing the City of Cobra cry out for your help (not to mention your X),
you decided to head back to Cobra Island to help your long lost love
(besides, the rent is already past due and you don't have the rent money).

OBJECT OF THE GAME
There are five small cities or areas on this island; Central Cobra, West
Cobra, South Cobra, East Cobra, and the cemetery (south of south cobra).
The game starts with you landed on the only access to the island, Cobra's
small sea port in East Cobra. The game will automatically take you to your
high school sweetheart's home in Central Cobra. During this route you will
receive some additional clues.

The object of the adventure is to find out who is running each area of Cobra
and eliminate them. In the process, you will need to rescue ladies whom has
been captured by the "bad guys" for different reasons. If you succeed in
each mission, you will receive phone numbers from the girls you rescue and
you can later date them (that's were the sizzling scenes comes in). After
you find and defeat the last of the four "Punk Bosses", you will need to
battle the Master Criminal Overlord. He's one tough, bad dude but you can
take care of him, or......can't you?

I said: isn't this the game that causes considerable stir approx.
6 months ago? (well, Princess Maker and this one, but the
stir is more like "where can I get the game" :)
oh, and I still haven't got any clue on obtaining princess
maker.

>All graphics in Cobra Mission are done in Japanimation (anime)!!!!

Not if memory serves (I got it :).

>COBRA MISSION contains some of the best graphics drawn and programmed by

'Best' graphics?

>animation graphics so provocative you will stare endlessly at your monitor.

'Animation'?

>Over 40 different soundtracks of musical masterpieces in stereo will allow
>your sound card to play to it's fullest potential.

'Stereo'? 'Fullest potential'?

I don't know if they released a newer version, but mine have
not-that-good graphics (ie, I'd take those .gif/.jpg/.mag files
any day :) esp. in the main gaming part (the 'anime' style pics
pops up every now and then in the course of the game), rather
limited number of animation (ok, they are provocative :),
soundcard support which is flakey (and they don't support my
GUS yet :). The game hung up quite a number of computers with
sound cards :( it could be just the game hates me ):. Oh, and
don't expect sounds as good as, say Star Control 2. They do
have sampled bits and pieces, and use them quite effectively,
though (now, if only I can get them to use higher sampling rate :)

>The object of the adventure is to find out who is running each area of Cobra
>and eliminate them.

Notice that this is the bulk of the game, and mostly you'll see
graphics that remind you (at least me) of the glory days of CGA
and EGA. The fighting scenes on the other hand have better pics.
Oh, and be prepared to do 'the ritual', like beating literally
every bush in your path (and not in your path :) etc.

>If you succeed in each mission, you will receive phone numbers
>from the girls you rescue and you can later date them (that's

>where the sizzling scenes comes in).
And that's where the anime style graphics came in ^_^

>or......can't you?
Very easily. (I'd say the 1st level boss is the hardest, but that's
just because it's your 1st time :)

>SOUND COMPATIBILITY [etc, etc, etc]
I don't understand what is meant by 'pcm' sound, but the game
does have some nifty sound effects which are sampled (don't
tell me pcm is a sample recording method, it's not).
Oh, and for you who have GUS, this one works with sbos -o1
(I think :)

>all graphics are done very tastefully in Japanese comic style animation

'All' is a strong word which I prefer not to use here. ^_^
Oh, and the graphics are mostly static, prolly some winks or
wiggles here and there, but that's about it.
(I'm in no position to comment 'taste' :)

>TO BUY YOUR COPY OF COBRA MISSION, VISIT YOUR FAVORITE RETAILER OR
>CALL (800)258-MEGA.

Just curious, if they do release a newer (and hopefully better:
graphics, sound support, grammar and spelling, and stability)
I'd like to get some info.

Perhaps you can put the Cobra Mission demo onto an FTP site somewhere. I
supposed venice.mps.ohio-state.edu would be the "perfect" place for
something of this nature. ^_^

Not to do a really bad correction on Cobra Mission, but it is a game that's
a great deal worse than Rated 'R.' I would go as far as rating it 'X.'
It's a good game with nice pictures, sounds, and... uh... interesting player
'participation,' I guess that's where the 'X' in my mind comes in. This game
is not for the weak at heart and if you have high morals STAY AWAY from it.
I would certainly agree the violence was 'R', but not beyond that.

It will be up to each individual to see if the game is for them, but it is
certainly erotic and then some.

What do I think of it? It has nice pictures, a... interesting story so it
keeps the players interested, if..uh.. other things don't keep your attention,
and that's about all I'll say about it. :) If you're a MALE hentai, this
game's for you.

Disclaimer: I am not advocating this game. It is up to the
individual to decide by himself.

Ya mean someone finally got around to telling everyone about this. I got
stuck on the last guy a few months ago. I don't think there is a demo for it.
Games of this nature and small size (realative to the monolithic adventures
such as Sierra puts out, which scuk anyway. :/ ) usually don't have demos.

From what I heard it isn't a typo there was a short review in a computer gaming magazine a few months back and it was panned for its pornography.

Evidently, Megatech is finally making some sort of marketing push, and
there is a demo available. Not by FTP yet...

I've seen this expression before. I find it mildly offensive. I
believe the term "Pornime" is less offensive.

Hmmm...being that there is a Megatech person who lurked on r.a.a, I don't
think is would be very polite to start trading talk for these Cobra Mission
images, in this wide open public forum.
