Char vs Amuro: whos the "good guy"?

This subject is one of the things that makes the Gundam series
one of the most "realistic" anime series I have seen. There is no
clearly defined "good guy" or "bad guy". It all depends on your point
of view. If you feel that the Colonies have the right to be independent
from Earth and govern themselves, then the Zions (and Char Asnable) are
the "good guys" and the Federal Forces are the "bad guys". If you think
that the colonies have no right to revolt and should remain under the
dominion of Earth, then the Federal Forces (and Amuro Rei) are the
"good guys" and the Zions are the "bad guys".
Personally, I have always liked Char better than Amuro. (I also
happen to be on the colonies' side). Amuro has always, _always_ come
across as an idealistic dweeb to me. The only cool thing about Amuro
was in Mobile Suit Gundam, he was a berserker. Other than that..fooey.

Those are the most damned interesting spellings of Chein Agi's and
Hathaway Noah's names that I have ever seen.
As for Gundam:1991, just a reminder. What I posted is purely
a rumor. Nothing more than that. So dont quote me on it.

I've watched Char's Counterattack awhile back, and these posting about
Char's counterattack, the new series, and questions about the Character
developments of Char and Amuro, made me think about the film and there is
something that to seems to be unclear.
This question has in way any relation to what the postings about
Gundam are:
In Counterattack, the nu-Gundam (the Gundam that Amuro pilots)
is supped up with a Psycho-mu frame (generator, whatever). Now I thought
that the purpose of the frame was used for Newtypes to enhance their newtype
abilites much much better in controlling the Mobile Suits. But Chen Agi is
not a newtype, or she doesn't seem to be, but yet the piece of the frame
shes uses for test enhances her abilites so that she was able to kill Rezun
Schneider. This was the scene where Chen was a gunner in Lond Bell and
the Jions pulled an attack on the Federal forces. So am I wrong to believe
that the frame can only work if the person using it is a newtype, or is
there some evidence that Chen Agi is a newtype in the film that I haven't
noticed or the frame used for anybody, newtype or oldtype.
I hope I haven't wasted any bandwidth with this question.

I think it's unclear whether Chein is or is not a New Type, but Lezun
is definitely NOT. She is extremely contemptuous of New Types, and
Gyunei in particular.
