Sailor Moon: The US names

I dug this list out of the Kodansha WWW page, from the character and story
descriptions. They were not specifically mentioning the TV show in these
documents, and the character of the English suggested it was translated
from Japanese rather than written for US consumption.

The Celeste/Victoria? showed up exactly like that, so I am not sure
they've determined which to use yet. In a related note, the latest
Protoculture Addicts quoted a DIC press release referring to Usagi as
Darrien. But they've been late recently, so don't worry.

I must say I prefer Victoria to Celeste. What do you think OF THE TWO
CHOICES? Lets not start the "it should have been Bunny" thread AGAIN.
Other than that, I like these names better than the earlier ones. No US
name for Umino though. And he appears about as much as Motokoi.

Hey, I prefer the name "Celeste". The direct association of that word is
none other than "celestial", and a better name to connote Sailor Moon's
connection to the cosmos.

I wish I still have that book with all the meanings of the names;
originally bought that book to think of a good name for my kid.

Sure, that works for Usagi-as-princess, but not for Usagi-as-Usagi!!!!!
