In the new issue of Animerica on page 68 Ad Visions full page ad for
End of Summer struck a nerve. <no not that one so be quiet> I simply can't
believe how conceited they are. First they're telling me how much they
would have liked to print the whole picture but those puritan censors won't
let them. Even though they are the "most innovative distributor of Anime
in North America" (Anon 68). <- Note MLA format for all you copyright fanatics
I'm crying on my keyboard for Ad Vision the poor souls. Since when did
innovative and echhi become synonoms.
Then I get to a truly perplexing statement. "sometimes...you have to work
withing the system to beat the system" (same ref). What does this mean?!?!
I wasn't aware there was a system to beat in anime. Is ADV saying that
by bringing out titles like EoS they are blazing new trails in anime.
I believe they should change their name to the Texas Trailblazers either that
or that movie w/ Burt Reynolds and Dolly Parton about a house of ill repute
might be a good choice as well.
This has been Brad ranting and raving and feeling much better because
of it. He would support the Anarchy in Anime movement if only somebody
would point out to him where it was. He also wishes to stop talking about
himself in the 3rd person as its all getting rather silly. RIGHT THEN....
