Yes, that's right. I'm conducting a poll to find out which anime
characters people think have the lowest air pressure.... uh... IQ. :)

Send your votes to:
nite...@uniserve.com

Once I have results, I'll post a list of the top <FILL IN NUMBER HERE>
characters based on the number of responses I get. There's no prize to
be won. Just the joy of knowing YOU'RE RIGHT AND EVERYONE ELSE IS
WRONG! (somewhere in the background, you hear Kodachi (sp?) from Ranma
1/2 laughing...)

But anyways, send in your votes! Please!

N-joy.

Odd you should mention Kodachi...

The top two contenders for the absolute, all time #1 spot are:

1) Tatawaki Kuno, Kodachi's brother. This is the man who can have
Ranma transform IN HIS ARMS and not get the point. A Kame-Hame-HA couldn't
dent his skull.

and

2) Mihoshi (Tenchi Muyo!). Someone read about the archetype of the
"dumb blond" and tried to make her dumber than that. They succeeded.
If there is any such thing as a PERFECT vacuum, it exists between Mihoshi's
ears and behind her vacantly-staring eyes.

No, that's for "annoying". She's certainly high up in the running
for "brainless", but she'd have to duel it out with Mihoshi and Kuno
first.

Actually, I think C-ko may be pretty intelligent or else at least has

Ok, so maybe C-ko's got competition with Kuno, but Mihoshi... I dunno. I
have this sneaky suspicion she's smarter than she lets on. I mean, notice
how she always manages to interupt Waashu-chan, Ayeka or Ryoko juuuust in
the nick of time. Simple comedic device? Naaaah, couldn't be. ;)

Ever hear the term "idiot savant"?

A tape recorder can recite poetry for hours on end; that doesn't

I'd just say she's got the Gurps advantage Unfazeable, with the
modifier Only Unusual Things Affected By Ability. (Or whatever the
hell) After all, she freaked out when Akane's hair was cut...

Me? I think it's gotta be Mihoshi. Hands down. For a TFOS game
where I actually had the great misfortune to PLAY Tenchi, the
description for Mihoshi included "If nature abhorrs a vacume, then the
space between Mihoshi's ears is numero uno on nature's hit list.
Mihoshi appears to have an IQ slightly above your average kumquat. If
you haven't figured it out by now, she's DUMB."

I disagree. I think Kasumi-chan can see the hidden truths. For
instance, "Those two are such good friends." If that statement weren't
true, why do they still hang out together? Sure, you may think it's
because of the fight over Akane, but I think deep down, both Ranma and
Ryouga admire each other for their skills and persistence. Everything
else boils down to "friendly" competition.
"It's settled then. Akane is the perfect choice." She knew right
away that Ranma and Akane were meant to be paired up. It wasn't so
obvious at the time.

Asuza wins the vote for MOST BRAINLESS CHARACTER.

Now, now. I still claim Tendo Kasumi is a very smart person. I mean, when
she finds a crisis she can deal with, she does deal with it. Remember Akane
and her haircut? Kasumi all but flipped out!

But what do you when you have a 500-pound panda eating bamboo shoots in the
living room and your *other* houseguest turns into a girl when wet? Spend
half a day in catatonic shock like Soun? Or just realize that there's
nothing you can do about it, and might as well greet the bad news with

Thus making him literally the most brainless character (ha ha). Yes,
that's Damaramaru. Not only did he skewer himself with his own sword
(thanks to Mappy) he fell into the molten lava surrounding the ring at the
Brutal-Killer-Martial Arts Tournament, and survived. Kinda like one of
those stupid horror shows where the guy never dies, only this time it's
for comic relief. Not that it's needed in Dragon Half...

Shampoo...HANDS down!
(Cyber-chan then tries to beat off rabid Shampoo fans)
This woman IS clueless...Ranma, the basic lowlife of R1/2 (yes, I think he's
a lowlife) who hates Shampoo for her brat flaunting and her violent
sexuality, dosn't want Shampoo, however...Mousse, who has gorgeous good looks,
a kind streak a mile wide when not teased into a fight, and gentle as
a teddy bear, is completely ignored by this overgrown brat. Let me smack
the characters for jackass on her forehead. Who would treat her better?
Let me see, if Shampoo dosn't want him, I'LL take Mousse willingly.
Ja ne,
Cyber-chan
Washuu's sexual laboratory, Head Scientist...literally!
