[RANMA] What if...?

As far as I know, and have been told, I'm the "What If" master with just
about everything. In fact, not a single show/book/whatever goes past me without
me thinking, you know... What if?
Here are a few for Ranma 1/2. Feel free to add the ones you have. The
ones marked with a * have already been FanFictionned by someone.
What if...
* - Ranma chose Ukyou over Okonomiyaki?
* - Shampoo got beaten by Ryouga?
* - Shampoo got beaten by Dr. Tofu?
* - Ranma got stuck in his (her) girl form?
* - Akane found out about the Ryouga/P-Chan thing?
- Kunou actually got it in his pea-sized common sense that Ranma and
the Pig-Tailed Girl are the same person?
- Ryouga and Ukyou hit it off?
- Ryouga and Akane hit it off?
* - Nabiki finally hit it off AT ALL?
- Ranma got pregnant?
- Shampoo had kittens?
- Shampoo fell in love with Mousse?

The only think Ukyou can cook. It's a pancake-like dish you can top with
anything.

He'd finally be able to choose.

Standard fanfic matchup. Probably engendered by that scene in the second movie.

This was done in 'Ranma, is that you?' I think the title was. The plot of the
story is that Ranma dies at the beginning and the rest is 20 or 30 or something
years in the future.
Otherwise, Akane has already fallen for Ranma.

My favorite story about this kind of thing is about the time that Rumiko
Takahashi, creator of the Ranma series, was the guest at a convention and
someone asked HER what would happen if Ranma got pregnant. Her answer? "I
don't think about that kind of thing, and frankly, neither should you."
To cut through that Oriental politeness, she told the fan to "get a
life." :)
(That's right up there with the story of when someone asked Sonada how Bean
Bandit could take getting shot in the head like that and Bean waved off the
translator and said into the microphone in English, "Bean is one BAD
BROTHER." :)

While I have quite a bit of respect for Ms. Takahashi as an artist, I
do not see her as infallible. I've heard the "I don't think about
that..." quotation many times, and it has always struck me as being
fundamentally wrongheaded. Part of the fun of Ranma is speculating on the
title character's unique situation, on the variety of ways it would affect
a person's life. I don't think it correct of Ms. Takahashi or of anyone
to close off any lines of inquiry. Her vision of the character may not
include potential pregnancy, it is true, and I respect that. However, Ms.
Takahashi offers Ranma to the public, and that brings a different dynamic
into things. We pay money to spend time with Ranma; being told how to
think about the character makes it a bit more of a left-handed gift.
Of course, I always chafe at being told how and how not to think, no
matter how large or small the issue at hand.
