As the title says; I've heard Vegita dies in the latest
DBZ episodes. Who kills him and what are the circumstances of his
death... and how likely/unlikely is it that he'll come back from
the dead in one way or another?

Vejita died when he self-exploded with Buu. Vejita could not find a
way to kill Buu , so he decided to blow he and Buu up all together.
How likely will he come back? Very likely... since so far none of the
new DBZ characters are popular ..

BTW , cool sig ..^__^

Actually, it's not likely at all that Vegita will come back. As far as I
know, the earth's dragonballs have the limiting factor that the same wish
can't be executed twice--so, a person who's already been brought back to
life can't be revived again. Vegita had already been killed by the Freeza
guy and brought back.

Also, Piccolo explains to him before he blows himself up that his soul will
be taken to a different world than that of Goku's and washed and recycled,
when Vegita asks Piccolo if he'll get to see Goku in the "other world."

That's not to say that Toriyama-sensei won't find some way to bring him
back, of course!

God, I hope not. This's the biggest beef I have with the new Dragonball
series: when somebody goes out with a bang (Goku, now Vejita), dammit,
they should STAY DEAD! The last thing I want to see is DB turning into
a Superman clone, with Toriyama lacking the balls to definitively KILL a
protagonist ... how boring :)

Cool. Maybe I'll read them after all.

We'll see.

Only Piccolo witnesses it? Actually, no one witnesses it (besides Magin
Buu)--they'd be toast if they were close enough to Vegita to witness it.
Piccolo was the one who talked to Vegita before he blew himself up. And,
he and Kuririn are in the general area when it happens, and they feel the
shock waves.

"All hope lies with Gohan"? But, he's dead and out of the picture. At the
moment, Goku is trying to teach Goten and Trunks a "fusion" technique that
he learned while in the "other world" which allows two people of about the
same size and power to combine and create a new being with special powers.

According to issue 24 of Shonen Jump, Gohan didn't die, Kaioushin is going to
bring him somewhere... probably get him powerup.

I'm not too clear on this but I think he self-destructed. Blew himself up. I
didn't think he can do that. I can't believe he did that. Hope he comes back.

What? Gohan and Kaioushin didn't die? Do the others not know this, and
just think they're dead? Or. . .did they die, and they're fooling around
in the "other world" somewhere?

I think everyone think Kaiohshin and Gohan is dead, at least for Piccolo.
Kaiohshin and Son Gohan IS NOT dead, they are alive and well...

I believe that the magical being buu beat him to death or thres a
fire ball at him. By the way, No one's really sure if he's dead, they just
don't detect any chi from him (but come on it's the new series, he's probably
got a romance starting with bederu, and he has a new bro to teach; he can't
die yet. Or can he?).

Vejita is supposed commit suicide by blowing himself along with Buu
to hell. Supposedly, Vejita thinks that only by self destructing and blowing
Buu up to a bunch of pieces is the only way to destroy Buu. A friend of mine
told that in the manga about 2-3 pages was taken up for the explosion.
Never seen it myself so correct me if I'm wrong.

I've heard the same and posted it as well. I too do not hope that
Vegita is dead. I thought he was one of the worst characters on the show but
now he is probably one of my favorites (especially on the Game).

The newest episodes I've seen is that Vegita Dies (Self-destructs)
Gohan and KaiouShin are alive, Babidi... or was it bibidi... who was cut in
half by Piccolo recovers after Majin Buo (or whatever, the dough boy)
uses some power of his to regenerate the other half of her. Oh yeah, he
blew-up with Vegita but there were small pieces of him left which all
turned into small Majin's and united again to form one BIG (normal) dough
boy (much like T2's T-1000)... Goku recovers from his unconciousnes, they
revive the Dragon, and Gokku wishes everyone who was killed by the bad
guys saved again... (remember Vegita wasn't killed)

hmm... very complicated to follow? well... go out and buy some
manga! :p

>I think everyone think Kaiohshin and Gohan is dead, at least for Piccolo.
>Kaiohshin and Son Gohan IS NOT dead, they are alive and well...

Exactly. Because Buu blew Gohan away (while Gohan's entire body remained
intact), Kaiou Shin assumed that Gohan was dead, and so did everyone else.
They later discover that Gohan is NOT dead, but barely alive.

Details are scetchy, but remember: at the beginning of the first chapter when
Gohan became a teenager, it was stated that the main character switched from
Goku to Gohan, so there's no way that Gohan would be dead... unless he wanted
to switch the main character again... Besides, at one time in the manga, when
Goku was still young, Goku was thought to be dead, too (right after Kulilyn was
killed)... Readers of Dragon Ball (and viewers of Dragon Ball Z), if they keep
this in mind, will notice patterns similar to this throughout the series...

I don't think that Vegita blew himself up, because after he blew Buu up into
tiny pieces, his body was still intact as well, but it seems to have turned
into a rock. Piccolo comments after this that Vegita, to ensure Buu would die,
used up all of his strength to blow Buu into smitherines, and so, he has
sacrificed himself...
