The final episode of Eva just aired yesterday, and as I cruised
around Japanese Eva web sites and fj.rec.animation (anime newsgroup in
Japanse), and I'd say, you better be really careful before you watch the last
two episodes, because from what I can gather a)they're as confusing as a hell
with interfusion of reality and consciousness of Shin-chan mixing up all
over, and picture quality was little too below average.

Here's my interpratation of the interpratation/synopsis given on a
Eva web. Asuka finally cracks up on episode #24 (Don-san, rejoice! :), and a
replacement, the 5th child named Kaoru comes. He's resembles Ayanami in a
way that he looks very detached from emotion. As it turns out he is the last
of the Angel, and he with Eva Unit 4 is defeated by Shin-chan in front Adam,
but before he goes away, Kaoru-kun manages to engulf the entire 3rd Tokyo,
Nerv and Shin-chan into the giant version of void continum that Shin-chan was
sucked into in episode 16. It seems entire episode #25 is an elongated
version of episode #16, and episode #26 is from what I can gather in
fj.rec.animation, is Gainax version of UY2 Beautiful Dreamer.

I guess we can discuss this little further once we get a copy of the
episodes in N.A. (We just got a copy of tape from #21-24 this week at our
local Japanese bookstore and it's rented out instantly. (me and my friends
all tried all Wednesday, which is the day tapes come in, but no luck.)

But what's important, to us Eva freaks, is the fact that we'll
strive at anything to have a bit of our questions and mysteries solved...
Though much like Tenchi, at the end furthur episodes just answers a few
questions slightly, and present you with much more... (;_;)

Hey, I do thought Asuka's cute in her own ignorant little way. ^_^;
I can tell you that Asuka looks mighty scary in #24.

He seems like a mix between Rei and Kaji. ^^; (don't look at me, KRV
thought that he looks like Kaji too) Too bad he lasted just as long as all
the other Angels - less than an episode...

That's Unit 2, Asuka's Eva, and they end up in front of what's supposed
to be Adam, but turns out that's not Adam, but lilith... I still have no idea
what's Adam and what's Lilith besides the fact that they're the first and
second Angel found in Antartica in 1999. (or 2000) I'm even stupid enough to
look for the word Lilith in the encyclopedia (Britannica). I'll stick what
it said on the bottom.

Wow. This certainly sounds interesting. For it certainly didn't
seem like Tokyo-3's in never never land at the end of episode 24. Perhaps
we need Gendo to go berserk to get out of this one. :)

North America? We're only in little Vancouver, Canada here. :)
Heh heh heh, good things come to those who ask. -_^ They said someone
made a mistake (The clerk probably grabbed the tape) and the tape won't
arrive till Thursday, so I just visited the bookstore on Thursday and
whoala. -_^ (Hey, how come I didn't see you on Wednesday anyways? :)

Too late. Blame it all on Ritsuko, she's in the Rei-haters' club. :)

And here's a little on Lilith's myth:

==

From the Britannica Encyclopedia:

Lilith (Hebrew: Night Monster), female demon of Jewish folklore;
her name and personality are derived from the Babylonian Assyrian
demon called Lilit, or Lilu.

<The next paragraph seems more interesting>

In rabbinic literature Lilith is variously depicted as the mother of
Adam's demonic offspring following his separation from Eva or as his
first wife, who left him because of their incompatibility. Three
angels tried in vain to force her return; the evil she threatened,
epsiecially by the wearing of an amulet bearing the names of the
angels. A superstitious cult associated with Lilith survived among
some Jews as late as the 7th century AD.
